How to get to Uji from Kyoto Station (for those who will stay in Uji area): Take the JR Nara Line (D) toward JR Uji / JR Nara, get off in Uji Station

If you are traveling from Kyoto Station:

Take the JR Nara Line (D) toward JR Uji / JR Nara.
Get off at JR Obaku Station (The train ride takes approximately 20 minutes).
Please take a Local Train (toward Joyo or Nara).
⚠️ Do not take a Rapid train, as it does not stop at Obaku Station.
The Local JR Nara Line (toward Joyo or Nara) usually departs from Platform 8 or 9.

If you are staying in the Uji area:

You can depart from either JR Uji Station or Keihan Uji Station.
If you use the JR Line, take a local train toward Kyoto.
⚠ Do not take a Rapid train, as it does not stop at Obaku Station.

Alternatively, you can take the Keihan Line toward Chushojima and get off at Obaku Station.

Walking directions from JR Obaku Station to DPRI:

Exit JR Obaku Station and follow the signs toward Kyoto University / DPRI.
Walk straight along the main road, passing intersections and campus facilities.
The Kihada Hall buildings are located within Uji Campus, Kyoto University .
